Open Floor Plans
An open floor plan is defined as the type of plane that values open spaces, not closed. These designs are made possible by the technology of curtain wall, which rendered the use of interior walls in disuse in the mid-twentieth century.
An open floor plan limits or excludes walls separating the main living areas of the house (living room, dining room, and kitchen) to allow entertainment and interaction between the family members.

Homes with open floor plans combine the kitchen and adjacent areas to be in a unique space, generating large meeting spaces where family members and guests can interact during the course of a visit, not only at dinner but also for all activities.
This type of design results in a home that fosters a more modern relationship between the kitchen which is traditionally regarded as a work area, and formal spaces like the living room and dining room.

In fact, open floor plans raise the elevation of a kitchen very precisely to the functional center of the home with custom cabinetry, appliances well, and attractive lighting and surfaces.
In the high-end houses, fireplaces and more integrated electronics show cooking as a focal point of design.
Today there are many reasons why people prefer to live in small houses. Perhaps the main reason is that living costs have increased considerably over recent years, which does not leave much room to afford to build a huge and spacious house, where a greater amount of construction material is used.
Another reason for choosing a small house can be to care for the environment. Increased awareness of environmental care in addition to the advent of new technical ideas is leading to a growing number of owners to build green homes building small-scale traditional resources, such as orienting buildings toward the sun.
These "ecohomes" is a first step toward building a culture of sustainable and responsible. It is not only to use natural building materials, save energy and reduce pollution, but to build small oases that offer tenants a quality of life at the highest level.
On the other hand, if a family planning not to have many members, there is no use in building a huge house full of rooms that will never be filled. We can also consider the population explosion as another reason why a move to build small house.
The reason is that due to increased demand for the purchase of lots in order to meet this demand must have a greater number of lots; the only way to achieve this result is allocating a shrinking number of square feet per lot.

The alpine cabins or alpine chalets have their adherents.
And fulfill its function well, which is to prevent snow from collecting on the roof.
A point in favor of this type of construction is the speed with which you can build the house. Since the "wet" work is much less than not having to put up walls.
Regarding costs, it is certainly much cheaper to build than a traditional-style house.
It should be noted that only have walls on the front and the back side is all in the ceiling. Spent in wood, and plates (if the ceiling is made of sheet metal) but it saves in bricks, mortar, and above all, labor. One thing to keep in mind is that there should be very comfortable to live every day there is nice to spend a few days, but every day should be pretty annoying.
Considering the plan: On the ground floor there living, kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bathroom in the house only. On the top floor have two bedrooms.
Open Floor plan of sixty square meters
The design presented below corresponds to a beautiful small house.
It has only one bedroom but the winter garden could become a new bedroom without much work, making it ideal for a young couple. It could even become an ideal studio or office for those working at home.
The house is entered directly into the space that lies between the living and dining kitchen. To the right we have the kitchen and a small table with three places to use as a dining room and left the room. And where social area ends left have access to winter garden and the right is the only bathroom in the house, the bedroom and a door that leads outside.
Open Floor plan of thirty nine square meters
The design presented below complies with enough architectural requirements: one bedroom, one floor and a car garage. The idea presented is that the garage can be used for other things, for example to put a business at home (such a store or kiosk) or to have a sort of workshop where do our favorite activity.
In its only plant we see, as I said, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and parking for one car. I do not like having to go through the bedroom to go to the bathroom ... otherwise it seems quite interesting for a couple alone, even for an elderly couple.
Open Floor plan of twenty nine square meters
In the house that we have presented below we only have the diagram of the facade, but in the case of building a small house, the most important thing is to take advantage in the most efficient way of the total space available.
It goes straight into the dining room, eat fit for 6 people, next to the dining room we have the kitchen, the bathroom is entered from the kitchen, what many do not like, but considering they are only 29 square meters is understandable. To the right we have a small living room - living room, giving us access to two bedrooms.
